Travelling south towards Lindone and Hadsfield, Brigit arrived in time for the annual Tisa Vale Tourney. After setting out to aid some local adventurers in removing a Mithran threat, Tundgil and Brigit joined those gathering for the tourney and took part in the revelry.

Player Mission: Mithrans in the Fae Realm

Mithrans have gained a foothold in the Valley, with groups of Militia congregating to force them out. However the commander has stepped through a known portal into the fae realm. Removing the commander could weaken the hold the militant members of the cult might have over the common men and women who make up their misguided ranks, so a group of adventurers are tasked with locating and capturing this individual. The only catch? The man was an ex-mercenary in service to his lord and won’t give up without a fight.

The adventurers who set out upon this endeavor were:

  • Tungdil Stonehammer of the Mercenaries Guild;
  • Master Ash of Stocktown and Mason of the Alchemists Guild;
  • Forgemaster Arthur Mason and Roger of the Blacksmiths;
  • Dr Leoric McColic and Dr Dexter Brady of the Physicians Guild;
  • Erulisse Saerwen of the School of Thaumaturgy;
  • Sister Harmony Miller of Sidhe; Sister Sybil Miller of Tralda; Brigit Wooller of Crowa;

The party traveled towards the Cleve and the known fae portal that the Mithrans had “wedged” open. They fought a group of Mithrans and their automata and attempted to spare those who would surrender. Heading towards the fae portal the company were waylaid by a group of fae who were acting under orders from their Lord to let none past without a fight. Taking the orders literally they were willing to let people through if they bested them in combat – the first touch considered to be a victory. All seemed to be going well, but then the Forgemaster drew his cold iron blade which is like a poison to fae. The Fae Knight was angry at the betrayal, angry at the harm that had been caused to him and his people.

After some discussion he warned Sybil that if they could reunite his lord with the shadow man then they would be free of the current instructions placed upon them. He hinted that this separate entity might be found within the fae realm they were to enter.

Erulisse Saerwen examined the portal and made it known that the group would have to enter the portal to find a way to close it – a risky procedure that could potentially leave them with no way home. But since their task required them to hunt the Mithran Maxwell through the portal, there was little choice – not if they wanted to get paid.

With a quick prayer to Tralda, Sybil and Tungdil leapt through the portal, followed quickly by Brigit and the rest of the party. As they passed through the portal morning came and the party quickly made use of the time to rededicate power and prepare themselves. They hurried on their way, fighting their way through fae until they came upon a group of Mithrans with a fae honour guard. Attempts were made to communicate and negotiate with the fae, but Maxwell took umbridge. After offering to let the adventurers go, a fight kicked off. Midway through the fight the shadow-faced fae lord approached Erulisse. He offered a chance to end the conflict, so long as his people were left alone and should he be in need, they must answer the call. Erulisse agreed for herself and the fae called away his forces. Deprived of his allies Maxwell attempted to make a run for it. Chasing him down the adventurers caught him, but Brigit and others bound up his wounds and brought him back alive for trial.

Another portal led them home, which stepped them back to the day before – just in time for the tourney.


The Tisa Vale Tourney

The annual tourney was held over lunchtime – a quiz was held based on history of the Vale, followed by the singular duels and an archery contest, followed by a grand melee. The winners of the contests were:

  • Quiz – “Team Crowa”
  • Single Duels – Sister Harmony Miller
  • Grand Melee – Supplicant John Nada
  • Archery – Qallan / Brorgar


Monster Mission: Into the Tomb

Scouts, Mercenaries and a Forester have gone missing out on a dig. The head of the Foresters – Crispin Thorne – seeks brave souls to look for his missing man and the scholar who was leading the dig crew. Those who answered his call were:

  • General Colt Garrison and Quinn of the Mercenaries Guild;
  • Meror of the School of Necromancy;
  • Nikolai Grigori Sandrakken, Dragonbourne; Qallan of the Runesmiths;
  • Brorgar of the Alchemists Guild;
  • Sir Stafford du Bayard of the Knightly Griffin Order;
  • High Mother Anne Turner, High Father Harry Braithwaite and Father Finwe of Longstor; Supplicant John Nada of Crowa;

Travelling out towards the dig site the group fought through waves of undead before being approached by a small sidhean goblin who was adamant that something bad was now awake. Heading to the dig site they came upon a group of angry peasants who were all riled up against god followers and interfering adventurers, but the party were able to talk them round and continue on their way.

They found the scholar hiding in the bushes, and she told them how some scrolls had implied that there was a relic or two in the tombs and ruins, perhaps with treasure too. Her workers, hired hands with rights to dig, had been sent into the ruins and then a bunch of undead had come out. Hiding from the undead she was almost ready to give her crew up for lost, not to mention the Forester who had arrived and gone in after them.

Heading into the ruins they found a statue of a cyclops standing over a goblin, and more undead. After investigating the bodies of a few workers and finding permits to dig, they followed a tunnel into the darkness. In the tunnel they found a number of frightened and angry ghosts who lashed out at the adventurers as they tried to explain what had happened – they had touched a skull and found themselves here. In the chamber up ahead they found a skull, surrounded by bodies of the dig crew. Sir Stafford touched the skull and dropped to the floor in a state like death as his spirit gazed mournfully at them. The adventurers worked to save him – purging the body and cleansing it to unite the two parts, though not before the other bodies perished. With Sir Stafford alive and the relic cleansed again for good measure, the company began to head back through the tunnel, rescuing the Forester who they had been sent to find.

As they came back to the surface the party were met by a local Fae who had come to collect on a debt. Brorgar was not happy to see Peg – a water fae known for a habit of drowning people – but in the company of her “court” of fish people and their undead minions he was willing to keep to his end of the deal. However the undead had to go. After sealing the deal Peg wandered away and the party attacked the watery undead whilst Nikolai picked off his companions under a compulsion. Eventually they were victorious and headed back towards town to report on their findings.
